Carbuncle is reflection. It shows up for people who need it the most, and for those people who wish to use the power to protect others. Carbuncle offers its services to those who ask, all you need to do is ask. He may occasionally task a summoner with a quest or ask for a poignant memory of their own in exchange for his aid.

Safe guarding the precious memories of the Vault is his solemn duty and joy, though none are so closely guarded as the gem he holds close to his chest or wears upon his forehead at all times. He tends to also only ever speak in his native tongue which to most normal ears sounds like he is constantly saying: "Bwee" in a variety of tones and inflections, similar to the language of the Moogles yet somehow different.

Carbuncle is however a very shy spirit, he will not present himself to strangers. Visitors to his realm are most likely to be greeted by his Seneschal and long time friend Pounce the crystal ferret. Summoners will find if they are friendly to Pounce and make their friendship with him then Lord Carbuncle will appear. Anyone who is violent, rude or pacted with Hades or a spirit of the Abyss are less likely to meet him in a congenial mood. He is by no means a violent spirit but he is not above ordering his realm to cast out someone he finds undesirable and unwanted.

Bahumat says: Regarding Support Abilities, a game design decision needs to be made here regarding the power level desired for Support. Points of consideration:

1. Can a person only have one Support Ability active at a time?

If Yes:

1. Wherever possible, make these powers binary and broad. They're special, they're powerful, and they should be broadly applicable. Whenever possible, try to aim for straight-up bonuses to stats. Examples: (Attack+, Turbo MP, Magic+, Speed+, etc.) when offensive. When defensive, they should then provide broad categorical resistance or immunity, binary, or else provide powerful counter-attack abilities or on-hit triggered benefits. Examples: (Archer's Bane, Counter, Return Fire, Blink Counter, Regenerate, Critical: Haste, Critical: Quicken).

2. The powers should be prestigious, and expensive. Big investment, big payoff, and thus the bonuses of a support power should be a difficult choice. Given that most players will probably only ever buy one or two their entire career, this should be a tough choice; and definitely tiered appropriately in powers by job. So a player could make the big investment into, say, Fighter's Counter early on, or they could hold off to get the much superior Strike Back from Parivir, later in their career.

Bahumat says: Ignoring the flavor text for a minute here, there's some ambiguity to the mechanics of this special that are unclear, in system terms:

As read, this power seems to indicate that it provides an ''additional'' Parry roll against incoming ranged or melee attacks. If this is the case, this effectively doubles an individual's defensive abilities against non-magical combat.

Balancing considerations:

Can ranged weapon users parry incoming melee anyway?
Can ranged weapon users parry incoming ranged anyway?
Can melee weapon users parry incoming ranged without this power?
What effect does 'stacking' this defense option have in playtested combat?
Can this power be used to protect others, too? If so, under what rolls and skills? If not, why not?

Bahumat says: The damage for this special is incredibly small compared to the damage from other specials at the same cost and Job level. My suggestion to this is adjust it to do a (50% + (2 x Throw Stone)) damage. That way it becomes the hold-out derringer of combat powers; not much stopping power, but you can resort to it when you literally have nothing else left (no weapons in hand, no MP left, etc.)

As it stands with this writeup, the damage is so paltry there is no incentive to invest significantly in this power. I strongly recommend revision.

Orphan, brother(?) to Jocelyn and Alba. Raised by a Mist-mad vieran mother, more animal than person, the three children survived often times despite their mother, instead of due to her.

It is entirely unclear whether there is any true blood relation between any of the three children; but all have grown up together, and survived together.

Daivat is a young Hume man with long, curly purple hair, a gun on his hip, and a hover-bike. He's recently gained employ as the pilot under Captain Leetle of the Doodlebug.

He's known to play guitar and harmonica, often through the ship's PA system, and is also known to disappear for months at a time, muttering about knots and prophecies.

A bit of a swashbuckling rake, with a languid sense of humour, he's seldom far from his sisters, ensuring they don't get their fool ears killed.

* Ideally it'll be organized in groups (plots, system questions, economy, code to name a few).
* Perhaps tied into a mail program so that when notes are added those who have assigned themselves to it or put it up (staff and players respectively) will be alerted.
* The ability for those who are given judge bits to see and respond to Plots requests.. etc.
+glance, or an equivalent program that gives a quick listing of people visible in the room, and a short description of them, no more than one or two lines. -- This variable should be stored in 'editplayer', so that players know and understand that this should be filled in.
